Then, Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz delivered a speech in which he expressed his happiness for participating with the center in the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its foundation to serve all Muslims in Edinburgh and various people in this part of Scotland. He praised the role played by the centre in promoting dialogue and communication among different cultures and as a center which serves all Muslims in the region and serves the community in which they live. He stressed that the centre reflects the true and accurate picture of Islam as a religion and way of life and it also embodies the actual contribution of constructive initiatives called by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for dialogue between followers of religions and cultures. He recalled what the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said during the opening of the World Conference on Dialogue in Madrid "We have to announce to the world that differences should not lead to strife, conflict and we have to say that the tragedies experienced in human history were not because of religion, but because of the extremism that has plagued some followers of all religions and every political ideology". He praised the good planning of the people in charge of the center for their works and their activities, explaining that holding their cultural and social program to coincide with this celebration and the annual festival of Edinburgh will strengthen the global spread, the effectiveness and impact of this program. He thanked the Saudi students for their keenness to participate in such activities and programs, stressing that he always viewed them as ambassadors for their country in every society in which they live.
