Manchester's Lord Mayor Councillor Harry Lyons met here today with the Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki, currently on a visit to Britain. During the meeting, they discussed the cultural exchanges between Islamic institutions concerning with Islamic heritage, civilization and culture, and cultural institutions in Britain. Dr. Al-Turki stressed that cultural exchanges between the Islamic Orient and Western countries allow people to introduce human cultures and civilizations. On his part, the Mayor emphasized the importance of the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud for dialogue among countries and peoples of the world, stressing that the initiative has received a considerable attention from dialogue institutions and cultural forums in the world. On the other hand, Dr. Al-Turki visited today the Center of King Fahd Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud in Edinburgh, Scotland, in the United Kingdom. During the visit, he talked about the late King Fahd's achievements and his attention to Islamic centers and Muslims' affairs everywhere, noting that the late King Fahd made a personal donation for building this center and its facilities. On Monday, Dr. Al-Turki visited British Islamic Heritage Center in Manchester City and met with the Secretary General of the Center's Advisor Afdhal Khan.
