Vice-Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, patronized here today the signing ceremony of Phase I of the design and engineering services contract for the development of King Abdulaziz International Airport with the Aéroports de Paris engineering company ADPI amounting to 512,900,000 Saudi Riyals. The contract was signed on the Saudi side by Chief of the authority Abdullah Rahaimi and on the company side by Pierre Graff, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Aéroports de Paris. After the signing, memorial pictures were taken with the Vice-Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on this occasion. Under the 14-month contract, the Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz International Airport's expansion project will be designed. At the end of the phase in 2012, the airport will accommodate 30 million passengers.
