Jordan and Morocco on Monday denounced Israel's continued building of settlements in the Palestinian territories and expressed support for an independent Palestinian state with East Al-Quds as its capital, according to dpa. The remarks came in a joint communique issued by the Jordanian Prime Minister Nader Dahabi and his Moroccan counterpart Abbas al-Fasi at the end of the annual meeting of the Joint Higher Jordanian-Moroccan Commission. The two countries backed ongoing negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians with a view to reaching a peace pact in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions and the Arab peace plan. The two also signed 19 agreements for boosting bilateral cooperation in various spheres, the statement said.
