Two men were killed Friday when their light plane crashed on a wooded ridge in Germany, police said, according to dpa. Rescuers found both bodies in the burned-out wreck, about a kilometre from a tavern near the northern town of Minden. A woman out walking said she saw the plane disappear from view and heard an explosion. Police said it may have clipped the tree tops while flying low in rain. The single-engined plane was flying from the town of Stade and had been about to land at nearby Vennebeck.
