The Shoura Council held here today a session presided over by its chairman Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Homaid. During the session, the council discussed the problem of high prices of the basic commodities and their effect on the projects of development and decided to continue this discussion in a future session. In a statement following the session, Secretary General of the Council Dr. Mohammad bin Abdullah Alghamdi said the council approved draft memorandums of understanding between King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives and both the Egyptian General Authority of the National Library and Documents and the Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture in Istanbul. The council approved a request by the General Commission for Tourism and Antiquities to join the Arab Federation of Traditional Industries and Crafts in Tunisia and a draft memorandum of understanding between the commission and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Turkey.
