Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmad Al Jubeir has stressed that the World Conference on Dialogue, which comes upon invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, aims at spreading tolerance among peoples, through a focus on common values, including honesty and sincerity, such as the importance of compassion and preservation of family ties as well as direction towards God Almighty. During a press conference Friday evening at the Saudi Embassy in Washington, he noted that the World Conference on Dialogue which will be patronized by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on Wednesday in Madrid, is a continuation of the World Muslim League's Dialogue held in Makkah recently with the participation of about 700 Muslim Scholars. Ambassador Al Jubeir said that the conference's idea had been welcomed by senior Ulema (Islamic scholars), leaders and religious organizations. He said that 43 religious personalities along with 22 of their accompanying delegates from the United States accepted the invitation, taking the number to a total of 65 participants. He added that a number of personalities are accepting the invitation, noting that they represent the followers of all religions and divine messages in the United States. Al Jubeir added that the varied cultures, philosophies and other intellectuals in the world will be represented at the conference by dignitaries who were invited to the conference.
