Yemeni Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi held talks here on Wednesday with the French Regional Economic and Commercial Counselor Pierre Mourlevat aspects of economic and commercial cooperation between Yemen and France, Saba reported. Al-Arhabi reviewed achievements implemented in the reform field, particularly in the legislative structure to combat corruption, reform tender system and enhance the decentralization system in the country. He also talked about the government trends to tackle consequences of world food prices soar and to alleviate of poverty in addition to its tendency to conduct the mid evaluation for the implementation of the third five-year plan's decisions. The French officials, for his part, voiced his government's admiration of the accomplishments Yemen has carried out in reform field, asserting France's keenness on underpinning cooperation relations with Yemen. The meeting also dealt with several issues of common interests, topped by commencing exporting the Yemeni liquefied gas from the beginning of 2009.
