US extends 450 million dollars in additional aid to Jordan

The United States has agreed to extend 450 million
dollars in additional financial and military aid to Jordan, US
ambassador David Hale said Tuesday, according to dpa.
Hale said at a press conference that he had told Jordanian
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Suhair al-Ali that
President George W Bush signed a bill to this effect on Monday.
Hale said that the new assistance would raise US economic and
military aid to Jordan for fiscal 2008 to 561.4 million dollars.
