Minister of health Dr Hamad Al-Mane has highlighted the support extended by the government to the health sector. He made these remarks in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the occasion of the third anniversary for the ascendancy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to the throne. He pointed out that the number of the governmental hospitals in the Kingdom which work under the supervision of the health ministry has amounted to 213 with the capacity of 30,317 beds, and these have been provided with the most sophisticated medical equipment. Dr al-Mane described the program of the cooperative health insurance as a pillar for the reform of the health sector. --MORE
