The Beirut-based Al-Mustakbal newspaper has highlighted the achievements of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on the occasion of the third anniversary for his ascendancy to the throne. During the three years of King Abdullah, the paper said the Kingdom made big strides economically, educationally and culturally. The King's achievements are not confined to Saudi Arabia, but they have extended abroad notably to Lebanon and Palestine, the paper said. When Israel launched an attack against Lebanon in 2006, the Kingdom did its best to lift the disaster befallen on Lebanon, it added. As regards Palestine, the paper noted that King Abdullah had invited the Palestinian leaders to meet in Makkah for settling their dispute without any intervention from any other party, it said, adding that the meetings of the Palestinian leaders were culminated into Makkah agreement which was announced in the presence of King Abdullah.
