The price for crude oil produced by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) set a new record on Tuesday, when it rose to 131.25 dollars, data released by OPEC showed on Wednesday, reported dpa. One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC-produced crude stood at 131.25 dollars a barrel Tuesday, 0.55 dollars higher compared with 130.70 dollars on the previous day. OPEC calculates an average basket price based on 13 important brands produced by cartel members.
