The Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Ameen Madani said today that cultural exchange is the foundation for all other cultures and it embodies the human face of any society further to its contribution in changing the stereotypical image that other societies could see. In a statement while co-inaugurating with Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture and Tourism Abu-Al-Lafz Gurbanov the Saudi Cultural Days activities in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, Madani said that "these activities will reflect an aspect of cultural and artistic scene of the Saudi society." The Minister called on Azerbaijani intellectuals and artists to take part in all activities of Saudi Azerbaijani cultural days, indicating that these activities will include presentations and folkloric music, art exhibitions and films along with an exhibition of cartoons and cultural lectures. He hailed the great renaissance Azerbaijan is witnessing in various areas, particularly the cultural aspect. We are here to offer a glimpse of culture and arts in the Kingdom after having hosted a successful Azerbaijani cultural week in the Kingdom, he said. On his part, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan expressed pleasure of hosting the Saudi cultural days, emphasizing that those activities will receive the interest and admiration of the Azerbaijani people. The event was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for International Cultural Relations Dr. Abu Bakr Baqader, Saudi Charge d'affaires in Baku Suleiman Darwish, a number of government officials, and staff members of the Saudi Embassy in Baku.
