A security official says an Egyptian passenger plane made an emergency landing at Cairo airport with 77 passengers on board. The official says the EgyptAir A320 Airbus plane made the landing after the pilot had problems with the landing gear, according to a report of the Associated Press. The pilot was instructed to circle the airport several times to exhaust fuel before landing. The right tire of the plane burst during the landing and the plane was engulfed in smoke, but ultimately there were no injuries, said the official. The plane was on a scheduled flight from Dusseldorf, Germany.
