The 24th regular session of the Executive Office of Arab communication & information technologies Ministerial Council started its deliberations here today. Seven members of the Executive Office are attending the session. They include Egypt -- the current Chairman of the Office which is represented by Minister Tariq Kamal in addition to Saudi Arabia represented by Mohammed Jameel Mulla, Minister of Communication and Information technology. Other Five Ministers are from Jordan, Iraq, Oman, Qatar and Lebanon. The session's agenda includes preparation and study of the working session of the Ministerial Council. It will also focus on discussions pertaining to the result of the 23rd meeting of the Arab Permanent Telecommunication Information Technology Committee. Basim Arrusan, The Jordanian Minister of Communications and Information Technology expressed optimism that the Council will reach positive results in supporting the progress of communications, technology, information sectors and influence effectively in the dissemination of modern applications in all parts of the Arab world and provision to all sections of Society to achieve the Arab aspirations.
