The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Mohammed Jameel bin Ahmed Mulla highlighted today the economic and technological development of the communications and information sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Addressing a ministerial meeting held within the framework of the Conference of Advanced Technologies currently in progress in China, Mulla said that the Kingdom's future perspectives aim at transforming the Kingdom into information society, digital economy for increasing productivity, provision of information and communications services to all members of the society and the setting up of strong information industry during the next twenty years. On the fringes of the conference, China's Deputy Premier received heads of delegations. Mulla was selected as their spokesman at the meeting.
