Three boys, aged from seven to ten, were injured by a mine explosion in Chechnya. “The children got mine-explosion injuries and were taken to the district hospital of Gudermes,” a representative of the Chechen Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass today. The police established that the boys had found an explosive device at the south-western outskirts of the village of Ishkhoy-Yurt, where an army unit had been deployed in 2000. The children had started playing with it, and it had set off because of careless handling. The case is being investigated.
