Shoura Council holds session 2 Riyadh

Article (27) of Officer Service System shall be amended to be read as follows: "The promotion from the rank of Lieutenant General shall be by absolute selection by an order of the Supreme Commander of All Military Forces on a proposal of the Prime Minister and a recommendation of the Minister. Such promotion shall be granted to officers at the rank of Major General who spent four years at least at this rank. The period of occupying the rank of Lieutenant General shall be four renewable years up to four more years. Such extension shall be by an order of the Supreme Commander of All Military Forces on a proposal of the Prime Minister and a recommendation of the Minister".
2- The phrase "by an order of the Supreme Commander of All Military Forces" shall replace the phrase "by a decision of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces" wherever it appears in the Officer Service System.
