Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah, Secretary General of the Riyadh-based Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has asserted that relationships between the GCC and Yemen have made great strides towards partnership. In an interview with Yemen Press Agency "SABA", he said he is confident that both Gulf countries and Yemen are keen to institutionalize their relationships according to Strategic rather than tactical prospective as Yemen has joined most organizations of GCC and its membership to the rest of the Council's organizations is being considered. Al-Atiyyah pointed out that the Yemeni unity has achieved remarkable accomplishments during the current era of President Ali Abdullah Salih, asserting that Yemen has achieved various accomplishments in the way of development and modernization in different fields.
