Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior patronized here on Thursday the ceremony of graduating 1405 students from various faculties of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals for the year 1429H. Upon arrival at the venue accompanied by Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh region and Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Eastern region, Prince Naif was received by Prince Jelawe bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Deputy Governor of the Eastern region; Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Angari and the University's Director Dr. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Sultan. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Prince Naif emphasized the role of education and its importance in strengthening the national unity, achieving positive participation in building the nation, and developing and maintaining its capabilities and resources. He pointed out that ignorance only leads to weakness and humiliation and it makes nations incapable of meeting the challenges that threaten their existence, security and stability. --More
