Presided over by Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, the President of Arab Gulf Programme for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND), Al-Fakhiria Lounge Forum for Culture and Knowledge was held here on Wednesday with participation of 16 experts and specialists to discuss the current and future issue of energy in its various sources. At the beginning of the Forum, Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz delivered a speech in which he reviewed the importance of this issue and its positive and negative impacts on the Arab countries. He pointed out that energy is the main vein of life because of its influential and effective role in the formulation of policies and events. He appealed to the concern bodies to seek ways to protect Arab communities from pollution and waste resulting from the use of energy, stressing that the Arab world has scientific skills capable of setting scientific principles to positively use the energy and to contribute to the protection and safety of individuals from risks arising from pollutants.
