Arab Security and Peace Council holds meeting

Arab Security and Peace Council held its first meeting here today under the chairmanship of Saudi Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Qattan.
The meeting was attended by delegates of the council's member states and representatives of six non-member states including Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Kuwait and Mauritania which requested the meeting to discuss the developments of the situation on Eritrean-Djiboutian borders.
The Council requested that the Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa send a mission of the Secretariat General to the border area to look into the situation and submit an urgent report to the Council.
