Arab Security and Peace Council held its first meeting here today under the chairmanship of Saudi Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Qattan. The meeting was attended by delegates of the council's member states and representatives of six non-member states including Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Kuwait and Mauritania which requested the meeting to discuss the developments of the situation on Eritrean-Djiboutian borders. The Council requested that the Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa send a mission of the Secretariat General to the border area to look into the situation and submit an urgent report to the Council.
