Deputy Governor of Amran province Backer Ali has held talks with deputy German ambassador in Sana'a Michael Rautz on development projects implemented by German government, SABA reported. During their meeting, Ali and Rautz reviewed mechanisms and procedures to maintain the German-financed development projects, including the project of water and sanitation in Amran city which was opened in 2004 at the cost of YR 3 billion. The deputy governor briefed Rautz a number of procedures taken to achieve the benefit of the projects and maintain agricultural development in the agricultural areas of al-Bon Qa'a as well as procedures taken by the province to maintain water and reduce the indiscriminative draining of water which threatens the underground water. The deputy governor pointed the declaration of the current year 2008 for maintaining water in Amran province in addition to achieving several projects of water, including the implementation of 6 dams.
