Sheikh, the Kingdom's General Mufti and Head of the Senior Ulema Commission, appraised the great attention given by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz to the Holy Quran. He noted that the Holy Quran is the last of the books sent by Allah Almighty to the people. Al Al-Sheikh said the Holy Quran is the light which leads to monotheism and noble works. On his part, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Salih Al Al-Sheikh underlined the importance of adherence to the Holy Quran and its memorization. He noted that Allah Almighty has sent the Holy Quran for its implementation. Sheikh Salih Al Al-Sheikh said King Abdulaziz established the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the bases of Islam which is a creed and a way of life. The Kingdom will remain adherent to the Holy Quran despite the resentment of the enemies, he said. He lauded the efforts of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and his role in all charitable works. He noted that the contest continued for a period of eight months throughout the Kingdom.
