One policeman died and one policeman and an officer of the military prosecutor's office were wounded in a fire exchange with a group of gunmen in Chechnya's Urus-Martan district, Itar-Tass reported. A group of 25-30 gunmen was discovered near the village of Roshni-Chu during a search operation on Friday, and there was an exchange of fire with them, a Chechen law-enforcement source said. When the site was examined then, blood traces were found. It indicates that the gunmen also had losses, the source added. An operation is under way now to find members of the group.
