A three-day Seminar on Public Transport and future solution for the traffic problems in the Arab cities began its deliberations here today. The Seminar is organized by studies and research center at Naif Arab University for security sciences within the framework of its scientific program for 2008. Representatives of ministries of interior, justice and transport from ten Arab countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan; the United Arab Emirates; Bahrain; Tunisia; Sudan; Syria; Palestine, Qatar and Yemen are participating in the Seminar. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jam'an Rasheed bin Rakoush, the Assistant President of Naif Arab University, said the university is concerned with tackling urgent security problems through well-studied scientific ways in line with comprehensive strategies. He noted that the organization of the Seminar coincides with organization of other activities like a training course on the nuclear dangers, a course on fighting terrorism and another one on fighting human trading. The seminar aims at shedding light on Arab and international experiences in the field of public transport.
