The First International Pharmaceutical Conference will be held here on Monday under the auspices of the Riyadh-based Armed Forces Hospital. Director of Pharmaceutical Services Department and Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee Colonel Dr Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rashed said that the conference would deal with changes in the practice of pharmacy profession and latest advances in this area. Experts from U.S., Canada, Britain, the Netherlands and Australia in addition to delegates from universities, hospitals and research centers in Saudi Arabia will address the conference. It will discuss five themes: applications of micro-technical or Nanotechnology in the area of Pharmacy; alternative medicine and its choices; quality and Pharmaceutical economics in addition to the Pharmaceutical errors; education, training and rehabilitation of pharmacists in multiple areas and advances in Clinical Pharmacology. He also pointed out to the scientific program for the conference, which had been adopted by the Saudi Commission for health Specialties as 21-hours continuous medical education.
