Two earthquakes respectively shook Bitung waters on Sumatra Island and Lais on Sumatra Island on Tuesday, ANTARA reported. A 5.4-magnitude earthquake hit 248 km off Bitung, North Sulawesi Province at 2.52 am Western Indonesian Time (WIB) on Tuesday. Another earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit 192 km southwest of Lais, Bengkulu, western Sumatra, at 9.39 am WIB, at a depth of 10 km below sea level.
