Attackers fired on a police post in Chechnya's Gudermes district, and were killed in return fire, the republic's law-enforcement bodies told Itar-Tass on Tuesday. "On Monday afternoon, the gunmen driving a Zhiguli car, sprayed automatic fire on the police post near the village of Komsomolskoye. The post was manned by interior troops, road police and servicemen from the military commandant's office," a police officer said. "The attackers were killed in return fire. An inspection of their car found a GP-25 rifle-mounted grenade launcher, a Kalashnikov assault rifle and two Makarov pistols."
