Jordan's King, Mahmoud Abbas hold meeting

A royal palace statement says
Jordan's King Abdullah and President Mahmoud Abbas have met
in Amman ahead of the Palestinian leader's talks in Moscow
and Washington.
The Tuesday meeting follows weekend talks between Abbas
and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. The statement says
King Abdullah has renewed his call on Israel to halt the
construction of new settlements and lift its blockade of
Gaza, according to a report of the Associated Press.
