Kuwaiti Health Minister Abdullah Al-Taweel arrived here Monday on an official visit during which he will discuss with Maltese officials aspects of cooperation in the health services field, following a stop in Turkey for the same purpose. The Health minister and his accompanying delegation were received upon arrival by a representative of the Maltese government and Kuwaiti non-resident Ambassador Walid Saad Al-Khubaizi, according to a report of the Kuwaiti News Agency "KUNA." On his first visit to Malta, the Kuwaiti Health Minister is due to meet Maltese President Edward Fenech-Adami and Premier Lawrence Gonzi, before meeting the Minister of Social Policy John Dalli and a host of health sector officials. The Minister's talks are expected to cover means by which Kuwait could benefit from Maltese expertise and opportunities for training Kuwaiti medical students, trainers, and nursing staff in Malta.
