A suicide bomber struck a road construction crew Saturday in southwestern Afghanistan, killing two people including an Indian Engineer, a provincial governor said. The Associated Press quoted Ghulam Dastagir as saying that the engineer and his Afghan driver were killed when the bomber hit members of an Indian construction crew in Khash Rod district of Nimroz province. Initially, Dastagir said three Indian engineers were killed, but he later revised that figure. Eight other people, including five Indian workers and two civilians, were wounded in the blast. The bomber approached the construction site on foot, the Governor said.
