Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) received here today Indonesian President's Special Envoy for the Middle East Alawi Shahab and accompanying delegation. The IDB President was briefed on the results of the conference on investment opportunities in Indonesia organized by the Indonesian government last month in Dubai, which was attended by the President of Indonesia. The Conference led to signing of Five Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Indonesian Government and Gulf investors for the implementation of substantial projects development in Indonesia in the sectors of infrastructure, ports, railroads and palm oil refinery at a total cost of nearly Three billion US dollars. During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of the IDB's contribution to these projects in general and discussed ways of enhancing the existing cooperation between the Republic of Indonesia and the Islamic Development Bank.
