Governor of Riyadh region, Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Executive Committee of Developing Dereiyah, chaired yesterday the Ninth Session of the Committee. The session, held at headquarters of Ar-Riyadh Development Authority (ADA), was attended by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Secretary General of the Supreme Commission for Tourism (SCT). Engineer Abdul Latif bin Abdul Malik Al Sheikh, a member of ADA and Head of The Projects and Planning Center, highlighted the work progress of the project of Developing the Historical Dereiyah including projects of Tarif District that comprises restoration of this district to accommodate a number of specialized museums about the First Saudi State and the social and cultural life during that era. Sound and Light shows were also presented. The project also comprises works in Al Bugairi District including establishment of Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdul Wahab Corporation and a number of enclaves, squares and public parks, in addition to road projects, public utilities networks and car parking. During the session, an executing project of headquarters of Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdul Wahab Cultural Corporation was awarded as well as another scheme of improvements of Imam Mohammad bin Abdul Wahab Mosque and its utilities were awarded to Lada Trade and Contracting Company. The contracts were valued at SR 49,616,337. Al Yamamah Trade and Contracting Company were awarded a contract for executing the Central Enclave, an Underground Car Parking, a Tourist Guidance Center, Al Zoihera Mosque, and Dereiyah Public Park.
