Thirty three new road projects in the capital have either been launched or are in their initial stages. The Higher Commission of Development of Riyadh City, at its fourth meeting here on Tuesday, informed its members about the commission's development projects in the financial year 1428-29 Hijra. Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh Region, presided over the meeting. A member of the commission and head of its center of projects and planning, Abdul Latif Bin Abdul Malik Al-Sheikh, said the projects discussed included development of road networks comprising 33 projects of which 22 are under implementation and 11 projects are in the initial phase. Al-Sheikh said the commission agreed to a series of requests from the private sector for various special projects. These are: u Establishment of a residential area with all integrated facilities at King Khalid Road in Al-Mlqa region in the northwest of Riyadh u A hospital district at Khurais Road in Al-Rayyan enclave. u Establishment of a children's hospital at King Abdullah Road in Al-Waha enclave. u Establishment of six hotels in different locations of the city. __
