In implementation of the order of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and upon the directive of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Iraqi Siamese twins (Iyad and Ziyad) accompanied by their parents arrived here today coming from the city of Irbil, Iraq, aboard a medical evacuation aircraft of Saudi Royal Air Forces. At Riyadh Airbase, they were received by a specialist medical team, a representative of the Ministry of Defense and Aviation, a representative of the National Guard and Chargé d'affaires of Iraq's Embassy in the Kingdom Dr. Mohammed Ridha. Earlier, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques directed in a fatherly human initiative to host the twins and their parents, to conduct the required medical tests and to discuss the possibility of separating them at King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard in Riyadh. The twins were born a month ago by a Caesarean surgery and they are joined at the chest and abdomen. The parents of the twins expressed their happiness over this human gesture from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, also expressing their thanks and gratitude for this noble position from the Kingdom of humanity.
