Jeddah-based Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted here today the Saudi-Turkish Economic Forum. The Forum was attended by the Turkish Minister of Finance Kemal Unakitan; Vice-president of the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Eng. Mazen Batterjee; Chairman of Saudi-Turkish Business Council Dr. Ghassan Ahmed Al-Sulaiman and a number of businessmen. Following that, the Vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry delivered a speech in which he welcomed the businessmen from Turkey saying that Saudi Arabia and Turkey has deep-rooted historical strong relations based on mutual cooperation on the development of ways and mechanisms for activating economic and trade relations and investment between the markets of the two brotherly countries. On the other hand, the Turkish Minister of Finance delivered a speech in which he praised the large role played by Saudi Arabia in the Middle East, confirming that Saudi Arabia possesses a great position and high economic standards recently reinforced with the rise of oil prices and increase in its financial liquidity.
