Senior U.N. envoy B. Lynn Pascoe says he is confident of the prospects for the reunification of Cyprus. Pascoe, the U.N.'s undersecretary-general for political affairs, has met with the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders on the divided island in recent days. He says that he is confident that the two sides will succeed in reunification efforts with U.N. help, and that «everyone has been extraordinarily encouraging about moving the process forward", according to a report of the Associated Press.
