The Shoura Council held here today a session presided over by its chairman Sheikh Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Homaid. In a press statement following the session, the Council's Assistant Secretary General Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya said that the Council approved a draft agreement between the Kingdom and France on cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research, also approving a protocol on Protection of Marine Environment from Land-based Activities in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, and a protocol on the preservation of biodiversity and the establishment of a network of protected areas in the territory of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. The Council also discussed matters relating to the emblem of Saudi Red Crescent Society, education and a regulation of Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances.
