The Saudi Relief Organization of Saudi Public Assistance for Pakistan Earthquake Victims (SPAPEV) has handed over keys of 2,700 houses to the quake affected families of Balakot Red Zone in Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province (NWFP). The SPAPEV would complete 5000 pre-fabricated houses to settle Balakot and Bagh displaced families affected by October 8, 2005 devastating earthquake, SPAPEV Media Director, Ibrahim Homaily told reporters during a visit to the Balakot Housing Project. He said SPAPEV, which was established on the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdull Aziz for relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of quake hit zones of Pakistan, is fully engaged in the construction of housing project. According to the contract signed with reputed companies, Homaily said that some 4000 houses would be built in Balakot Red zone in which some 2700 pre-fabricated houses have been completed. He said that the keys of these houses were provided to the displaced families to restart normal life at their own property. --MORE
