Egypt sends minor cabinet minister to Arab summit

Egypt's foreign minister says that a minor cabinet minister, rather than the president, will head its
delegation to the Arab League summit in Damascus.
Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit has told the state news
agency "MENA" that Mufid Shihab, minister of state for Legal
Affairs and Legislative Councils will lead the Egyptian
delegation to the summit which begins Friday.
