In the presence of Prince Turki al-Faisal, Prince Dr Misha'al bin Abdullah bin Mused, Advisor of the Crown Prince, the First edition of the project of the international books on Islam and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was launched here yesterday. As many as 77 researchers and thinkers as well as politicians from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have participated in the project. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Badr Karim, the Project's Supervisor General, said the project aims at correcting the wrong concepts about Islam in the western societies as well as explaining the stand of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which has been subject to vicious campaigns in its capacity as the cradle of Islam and the country which includes the Two Holy Mosques. On his part, Dr Mohammed al-Bishr, Head of the Scientific Team of the Project, said it will focus on Islam and the Kingdom in an objective manner. He extended a memorial shield to Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, in recognition of his role in supporting the Project.
