Su-25 military acft crashes in Primorye, pilot dies

A Su-25 military aircraft met with an accident over one of central districts of Russia's Primorsky (maritime) Territory on Thursday, according to Itar-Tass
According to unofficial data, this happened at 10:30 local time. The pilot, who had no time to bail out, died. This information was confirmed in the Territorial center of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies. The accident occurred in mid-air over a military range in the area of Lake Khanka (south-western Primorye).
Personnel of the Far Eastern Air Force and Air Defence units have launched a search-and-rescue operation.
