The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has ordered the transfer from the Iraqi city of Al-Mosil to Riyadh of Iraqi Siamese twin for further medical check-up before deciding whether to perform a separation surgery at King Abdulaziz Medical City for the National Guard. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Executive Manager for Health Affairs at the National Guard and head of the Medial Team for Siamese Separation, said the male Siamese twin were born one month ago at an university educational hospital in Al-Mosil and that they share the chest and abdomen. Their situation is stable, he added. He said that this humanitarian gesture by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is yet another proof of his care for the Iraqi people in general and the needy sick children in particular. He cited the previous Siamese separation operation successfully performed at the Riyadh-based King Abdulaziz Medical City for National Guard for two Iraqi conjoined female children.
