The International Gathering of Muslim Scholars and Intellectuals at the Muslim World League expressed deep concern for the violations suffered by Alaqsa Mosque and the city of Alquds. In a statement issued here today, the IGMSI underlined the danger of the Israeli plans concerning the Judaization of the city of Alquds and the plans threatening Alaqsa Mosque. The IGMSI said the mosque is threatened by the underground grid of tunnels underneath it. The IGMSI added that Israeli forces are still blocking the mosque's gates, controlling its halls and preventing worshippers from entering it. The IGMSI said the Israeli forces are still allowing their soldiers to storm the mosque and throw grenades and fire bullets inside it. The IGMSI said these acts are violations of the sanctity of the mosque and international society's resolutions preventing Israel from violating the sanctity of Alaqsa Mosque and other mosques of Palestine. The IGMSI said the city of Alquds is an Islamic city and called on the Islamic nation's leaders to protect the city of Alquds and the Mosque of Alaqsa.
