Presided over by its Chairman Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Homaid, the Shoura Council held its 79th session here today. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Assistant Secretary General of Shoura Council Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya said that the Council listened to the views of Transport, Communications and Information Technology Committee as regards the members' opinions about the annual report of the Ministry of Transportation for the fiscal year 1426/1427 H. He pointed out that the Council approved establishing a public commission for roads and authorizing the Ministry of Transport to license and monitor fuel, washing and lubricant stations on land roads. He also said that the Council listened to the views of Administration and Human Resources Committee as regard the annual report of the General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training for the fiscal year 1426/1427 H. The Council approved creating training programs for driving, operating and maintaining heavy equipment in cooperation with the concerned institutions and companies, Al-Yahya said. The Council resumed discussing the report of Water and Public Facilities and Services Commission as regard the annual reports of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation for the fiscal years 1425/1426 H. and 1426/1427 H.
