Tokyo stocks opened higher Thursday on overnight gains in the US market, DPA reported. The Nikkei 225 Stock Average advanced 186.26 points, or 1.44 per cent, to 13,158.32. The broader Topix index of all first-section issues was also up 19.06 points, or 1.51 per cent, to 1,282.97. On currency markets at 9 am (0000 GMT), the dollar was quoted at 103.90-95 yen, up from Wednesday's 5 pm quote of 103.62-64 yen. The euro was quoted at 1.5276-81 dollars, up from Wednesday's 5 pm quote of 1.5181-84 dollars, and at 158.77-82 yen, up from 157.32-36 yen.
