Three people were killed when two small boats carrying 200 drums of oil exploded at Long Bagun in Kutai Barat, East Kalimantan, on Saturday, ANTARA quoted hospital source as saying today. The source said two of the fatalities were identified as Edi (25) and Adi (27), while the identity of the third remained unclear. Three others were in critical condition at Dirgahayu hospital here. The three victims who arrived at the hospital at midnight on Sunday suffered from serious burns and were at present under intensive treatment. According to information from Dirgahayu hospital on Monday, the two boats, carrying some 200 drums of petrol to Long Bagun, went off on Saturday and killed three people on board. Meanwhile, Sunardy, the relative of one of the victims, said there were seven people aboard one of the ill-fated boat and two were missing while five others sustained severe burns. "The missing victims were identified as Amat and Rahmat," Sunardi said, adding that one of them had been discovered. However, there was no official information from the police about the cause of explosion in the two boats.
