King Abdullah University for Sciences and Technology (KAUST) signed here yesterday a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with King Abdulaziz City for Sciences and Technology (KACST). The MOU signed yesterday is the ninth MOU to be signed by KAUST with scientific and research institutions in the last eight months. Professor Choon Fong Shih, the President Designate of KAUST, said the agreement is pertaining to researches in the fields of energy, water, environment, oil, gas and petrochemicals as well as other fields like information technology, telecommunications, and aviation sciences. On his part, President of KACST Dr Mohammed al-Suweil, highlighted the importance of the MOU, and said cooperation with the scientific institutions constitutes a corner stone for the process of development. He noted that KACST will dedicate its efforts for attaining further development in the field of researches and technology.
