The meteorology and geophysics agency (BMG) reported a tectonic quake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) waters, according to ANTARA. The tremble was located at 3,98 degrees North Latitude and 93,16 degrees East Longitude, about 30 km deep in the sea. Its epicenter lies 257 km southwest of Meulaboh, 284 km southwest of Sabang, 304 km southwest of Sigli and 348 northeast of Sinabang. According to BMG, the quake had no potential to trigger a tsunami. No material loss nor casualties caused by the quake were reported.
